Ancien immeuble du Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée

Sublime bâtiment art déco situé sur la mythique Promenade des Anglais. Il abrite aujourd'hui en partie un des Offices de Tourisme de Nice. Il est depuis 2021 inscrit au Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO.

Originally, it was a villa called "Les algues", built in 1861 for seasonal rental. In 1934, it was renovated in an art deco style. A sculpted composition by Gérard Choain adorns the entrance and represents the tourist riches of the Nice region. At that time, the building housed the offices of the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranean (P.L.M.) railway company.
