Born in 1986, Dr. Rajnandini discovered her great musical talent at the age of seven, which enabled her to master vocal exercises effortlessly. It was at this time that she began her musical studies with Dr. Pushplata Chaturwadi, a respected vocalist in Indian classical music and a professor at BAK Inter-College, Moradabad. She spent eight years learning from him, in the Guru-shishya (master-disciple) tradition.

Rajnandini’s musical gifts enabled her to master vocal exercises from the very beginning. At the postgraduate level, Rajnandini also chose to study music and literature at Rohelkhand University, Bareilly, where she excelled. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Hindustani Classical Music from the College of Music and Fine Arts, University of Delhi. Her meditative and soulful voice is known to transport audiences.

She has given several solo concerts in Europe and India. In addition to her performances, Rajnandini conducts music workshops and shares her passion and dedication for Indian classical music by teaching many budding musicians in Barcelona. She will be accompanied by Santosh Ghante, a prominent harmonium player and vocalist from Pune, India. Nihar Mehta will accompany them both on tabla.
