Welcome to the Cascade du Château, a real postcard of Nice!
In the 19th century, as the city grew, access to water became crucial. In 1878, the Compagnie Générale des Eaux was awarded the concession for the 32-kilometre Vésubie canal to supply water to Nice. This waterfall, built in 1885 on the Château hill, is the culmination of the park development work begun in the mid-19th century, serving as a spillway for the waters of the Vésubie. Discover this testament to the engineering genius of the 19th century, offering an oasis of freshness and beauty in Nice.
