Dé(s)-rives

Born to Algerian parents, she has dual nationality. As for me, I was born to a father from Nice and a "pied noir" mother, French from Algeria. Our common thread: we are both from here, and our ancestors are from the same place.
This creation was born from our encounter. The encounter between two women from different generations. We found familiar similarities in our memories, our culture, and our personal history. There is also the way our loved ones experienced and perhaps continue to experience fear. Fear of the other, fear of war, and fear of change. How do we construct ourselves as individuals in relation to all of this, but also as women?
Territories? Shifting. Identities? Multiple. Here or There? Living Free.

Through visual and animated theatre, clowning, and words that are sometimes poetic, sometimes spoken and narrated, we will attempt to reveal the absurdity of these fears and see what brings us together rather than what divides us.
