From 17 June to 6 November 2023, the Château-Musée Grimaldi presents an exhibition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the donation of some forty portraits of the singer Suzy Solidor (1900-1983) to the town of Cagnes-sur-Mer.
To celebrate this generous gesture in 1973, the exhibition will look at the photographic legacy left by the singer and invite visitors to revisit the "Solidor" collection, thanks to a new temporary display. Photographic images will feature prominently throughout the exhibition, whether artistic (Man Ray (1890-1976), Laure Albin-Guillot (1879-1962), fashion or current affairs. Nudes, candid shots and elaborate photographs provide a little-known portrait of Suzy Solidor, who was willing to pose for the camera right up to the end of her life.
For the occasion, the Grimaldi Castle Museum is offering a colourful and original programme, including for the first time a life-size escape game inside the castle!
