Under the Baous mountains amid splendid landscapes, the old perched village of Gattières offers lovely Mediaeval streets, little flower-decked squares and fine fountains.

as well as arts and crafts shops: silk painting, sculpture, woodworking and wrought iron. The commune extends down to the Plaine du Var, with market gardens, horticultural plantations and orchards.
