04 November 2023
Join Johan Papaconstantino the 4th of November for a concert like no other.
Johan Papaconstantino started out mixing funk and electro records on his father's turntables, while listening to Greek music. His mother, of Corsican origin, was more into RnB and French chanson.
After his first DJ sets as a teenager, he and a group of mates got together to form a group called Tendre émeute.
Keyboards, clarinet, flute, machines, electric guitar, tambourine and autotune mingle with the bouzouki and his vocals, which are more sensual than indolent.
In his lyrics, Johan Papaconstantino zooms in on the everyday, on everything that makes up life, conviviality ("Beau temps" featuring Rad Cartier), seduction (the exciting "Glass"), fatherhood ("Tata" and its fiery bouzouki), comfort ("Bricolo"), but also passion with "Mode d'emploi" and its brilliant ritornello bathed in a delicious groove.
There's something irresistible about Johan Papaconstantino's songs, something that makes you want to listen to them over and over again, smiling, your body tense with the recurring rhythms of these songs that take you straight to the dancefloor.
