Le Palais de La Méditerranée

After being the temple of the arts in Nice during the Roaring Twenties, the Palais de la Mediterranée is one of the most iconic hotels which can be found on the Promenade des Anglais.

In 1929, architects Charles and Marcel Dalmas created a luxury leisure complex featuring a casino, bars, restaurants, a dance hall, exhibition halls and an 800-seat theater. Sadly, the Palais de la Méditerranée was demolished in 1990, but the façades, which had been awarded the "Patrimoine du XXe siècle" label, were preserved. At the time of its inauguration, this building was considered one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in France. Today, behind these façades, you'll find the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée hotel, with 187 rooms including 9 suites. Located at the heart of the Promenade des Anglais, guests who stay there can enjoy a magnificent view over the entire Baie des Anges. Its architecture is unique, to the point that it was registered as a Historical Monument in 1989. At the foot of the hotel, the Casino delights inveterate gamblers and anyone who wants to spend a festive evening with its many gaming machines and tables. Among the slot-machines, the restaurant Le Prom' with its huge terrace is the ideal place for a gourmet break in the sun. On the third floor of the hotel, another restaurant called "Le 3e" is a treat for the tastebuds. Here, the Chef welcomes people from Nice and holidaymakers who have come to enjoy a superb view and an incredible setting.
