For the summer of 2025, Espace à vendre is inaugurating an exceptional exhibition in Le Château bringing together two explorers of reality: Emmanuel Régent, visual artist, and Thomas Tison, naval architect.

Through the title Kutta's Theorem—borrowed from the aerodynamic principle that describes the movement of wind around a sail—the exhibition traces a fruitful dialogue between science, art, and design, where the creative gesture is articulated with the rigor of modeling.

Emmanuel Régent's drawing and installation practice explores vestiges, flows, and traces. For this exhibition, he presents a collection of drawings and the series My Shipwrecks, composed of fragments of shipwrecks collected and reassembled. Echoing CETACEA, a monumental 200-meter work of blue light installed on the seawall of the Port of Nice as part of the Biennale of Arts and the Ocean, his work combines the sensitive observation of the marine world with a reflection on natural forces, disruptions, and the memory of the elements.

Thomas Tison, a naval architect trained at University College London and recently based in Villefranche-sur-Mer, designs sailboats based on the principles of aerodynamics and hydrodynamic efficiency. For this exhibition, he presents a prototype boat, accompanied by preparatory drawings and an experimental black sail designed for extreme racing conditions. His approach lies at the intersection of scientific research, technical innovation, and minimalist aesthetics. Through his objects, he offers a sensitive interpretation of wind, speed, and movement.

Kutta's Theorem thus sketches a map shared between art and science: a fluid territory where drawing becomes an instrument of study, where the technical object rises to the rank of sculpture, and where each work becomes a vector for navigating between disciplines.
