Musical reading “Les mots des mets” (The Words of Food) – BAL Company

31 January 2026

Saturday 31 January 2026 from 7 pm.

By the B.A.L. company
With Elodie Tampon-Lajarriette, Thierry Vincent and Aliénor de Georges (also on harp and vocals).
Free admission.

This musical reading by the BAL company is dedicated to the culinary arts, to cooking in literature, from gastronomy to family meals, from Guillaume Apollinaire to Delphine de Vigan, via Marcel Proust, Colette, Guy de Maupassant, Romain Gary, Pierre Gagnaire's menus and finally, the songs of Camille, Brassens and Olivia Ruiz.

Camille teaches us how she doesn't mince her words when she sings. Romain Gary recalls his mother placing the steak of the day on his plate as a sign of victory over adversity. The scent of oranges fills the kitchen like childhood...

Let's blend in a good third of poetry, a nice half of sweet and savory prose, and to top it all off: all the pickles from Nino Ferrer's song!
