How can we stage a local, marvellous and fantastic imagination? How can tales bring together different individuals within the same society? How can an ancestral collective memory question our contemporary world?
Legenda is a show rooted in the tales and legends of the Alpine region, featuring a storyteller who discovers this ancestral culture, with its wonderful beings and places. This mythology comes to life and is embodied by a lyric singer, who expresses herself through different languages specific to this territory. The characters, as they progress on stage, transform these myths into living forms, questioning them and putting them in resonance with our contemporary context.
The structure is articulated around these fantastic places, from the stone of the fairies (la peiro de crous) to the Devil's peak, passing through the valley of the witch (la Valmasque). We will walk in the footsteps of the magical beings who have inhabited these lands, in the image of fairies, goblins, demons, wizards and witches. Our aim is to translate the spirit of these places and communities, their rituals and their imagination. Thus, the legends evoked are collected from seniors and specialists, holders of an ancestral and collective memory, to make it alive again.
