Once a private villa, this elegant building has housed the town hall since the 1930s. In the wedding hall, visitors can admire the fresco "République", a gift from renowned artist Jean Cocteau in 1961. It was here, on July 15, 1966, that actress Romy Schneider married actor Harry Meyen.
Opposite the Town Hall begins the Maurice Rouvier Promenade, one of the three walking trails on the peninsula. The path is named after politician Maurice Rouvier, who played a key role in gaining independence for the peninsula in 1904, when it was still part of Villefranche-sur-Mer. It is one of the oldest access routes linking Beaulieu-sur-Mer to the village. In earlier times, goats and sheep were commonly seen grazing on the untouched lands of the Cape. This very path is where the first great estates began to appear.
During the First World War, several local buildings were repurposed to care for the war orphans. Villa Sicard became an orphanage, the Panorama Palace (now the Royal-Riviera hotel) was turned into a school, and Villa Tribord housed vocational workshops.
