Founded by Augustus in 14 B.C., Cemenelum was chief town of the “Alpes-Maritimae” province from the 1st to the 4th century.
The museum, inaugurated in January 1989, displays collections dating from the Metal Age (1100 BC) to the Middle Ages: ceramics, glass, coins, jewelry, sculptures, tools...
