Parc Départemental des Rives du Var

A park near the seaside in the heart of the Var Valley. Following the transfer of the Var River from the State to the Department, the latter wished in spring 2010 to create the new Rives du Var Departmental Park.

12 municipalities border this park located from the mouth of the Var in the south to the Charles-Albert bridge in Gilette in the north, covering an area of 583 hectares.

The Rives du Var departmental nature park, in addition to its complete integration into Eco-Valley, is closely linked to
- The departmental nature park of Lac du Broc.
- The 14 hectares of the Estéron's beak benefiting from a biotope decree.
- The Natura 2000 site of the Vallons Obscures.

This park, particularly original, is different from the others on several points:
- A linear of 20 kilometers on 2 banks.
- A multiplicity out of standard of the concerned landscapes.
- An exceptional biodiversity recognized by its registration in the Natura 2000 network.
- A historical, patrimonial and cultural anchorage recognized by all.
