The banks of the Malvan have been landscaped in the heart of the Polygone Riviera by the famous landscape architect Jean Mus .
Between urban planning and renaturation, the nature park on the banks of the Malvan is an example of what can be achieved with a firm commitment. Right in the heart of a shopping centre, and entirely created by the developer, the Malvan, with its renaturated banks and aesthetically pleasing landscaping, opens its doors to the public in 2018.
A first in France, it covers an area of 7,600 m², allowing the Malvan to cross a major urban programme in an unprecedented way. Its banks have been naturally widened to withstand millennial floods. Species adapted to the riparian zone have been chosen to promote the health of the river and its inhabitants: it is now home to wild flora and fauna naturally attracted by this remarkable setting, such as comfrey, mallard and grey heron.
