"Un soir chez Renoir" was created in 2009, in the natural setting of the gardens of the Domaine Renoir at Les Collettes.
A tribute, in the magical setting of Les Collettes, to the master of the house: Pierre Auguste Renoir, a great lover of music.

In this magical setting at Les Collettes, the event pays tribute to the master of the house, Pierre Auguste Renoir, who was a great lover of music.

This summer event - supported by the Conseil départemental and the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur region - gives artistic creation the chance to express itself widely in the fields of song, music and dance.

Once again this year, the olive trees will resound to the sound of the instruments and voices of the artists, offering everyone a moment of escape, enchantment and joy.

An eclectic programme is on offer over the 4 evenings, with groups from a wide variety of backgrounds taking part.

To facilitate access to the site, the town of Cagnes-sur-Mer is organising free shuttle buses for the public, leaving from the Sauvaigo stadium at 8 p.m. (an ideal spot for spectators to park) to the Domaine des Collettes.

Please note the access restrictions to the site.

Nice Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra - 17 July
Conductor and solo violin: Violaine DARMON

Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons is a set of magnificent violin concertos that capture the changing beauty of each season, a universal hymn to nature considered one of the major works in the history of Western classical music.

On the programme

Spring (Allegro)
In this movement, the birds sing, the flowers bloom and nature comes back to life. The bright, cheerful notes of the violin evoke the freshness and optimism of spring.
Summer (Presto)
Summer arrives with a vengeance. The sun is shining brightly and the heat is setting in. The violin depicts the heatwave through rapid rhythms and fiery chords.
Autumn (Adagio molto)
Leaves fall gently from the trees, creating a colourful carpet. The violin expresses the nostalgia and melancholy of this season with soft, languorous notes.
Winter (Allegro non molto)
The cold sets in, and snow covers everything. The violin imitates the icy wind and the cracking of the ice. We feel both the beauty and the harshness of winter.
These concertos are a true journey through the seasons, where the music transports us to imaginary landscapes. Vivaldi captured the essence of each season, and his genius still resonates today.
