This week was the award ceremony for the Cuisine Nissarde 2023/ 2024 André Giordan promotion.
After weeks of evaluation visits to restaurants applying to obtain or maintain the “Cuisine Nissarde” label, the technical committee has announced the list of metropolitan establishments that have successfully passed this year’s tests.
During the ceremony, 33 establishments (27 renewals and 6 new label holders) were awarded the “Cuisine Nissarde, Respect for Tradition” label for the year 2023 – 2024, at an official ceremony held in the room Le Stockfish in Nice.
All the establishments received a diploma and a special “Label Cuisine Nissarde 2023-2024” plaque to display on their storefronts.
For this 2023/2024 edition, a label of honor was once again awarded to the Jeanne et Paul Augier Hotel School in Nice. It was necessary to underline the high school’s commitment to promoting Nice cuisine within its programs. The school is now committed to offering a seasonal Nice menu once a week in one of its three restaurants.
As a reminder💡
Nice cuisine is now part of France’s national heritage. In 2019, the French Ministry of Culture has approved the inclusion of the culinary practices of the Nice region on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Labeled restaurateurs are committed to respecting recipes and taking product quality into account. They must also be familiar with Nice’s history and heritage. They take care to provide a warm welcome and comply with health and safety regulations.
