Our need to dance, to have fun, to be entertained is at its peak and it’s a good thing because summer is just around the corner and with it the festival season!
The Nice Côte d’Azur region is full of festivals of all kinds, from the most emblematic to the most intimate, musical or entertainment in unique and authentic settings.
We have prepared a list of festivals not to be missed… so make a note of them in your diaries!
1 – La Crème Festival
When? 24, 25, 26 June 2022
To see what ? who ? live, dj-set and show
3 days of festivities, 3 unmissable spots, 4 stages and more than 30 artists!
The quiet Citadelle of Villefranche-sur-Mer becomes, for a weekend, a real party place where all kinds of entertainment is combined with music. This unique festival on the Côte d’Azur offers the public a very “chill” experience between pétanque, yoga, food and drinks. Numerous activities are to be found throughout the weekend on the festival beach, in the petanque area or in the heart of the citadel.

2 – Nice Jazz Festival
When? 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 July 2022
What to see? Ibrahim Maalouf, Melody Gardot, Iggy Pop, Clara Luciani…
The oldest jazz festival … in the world ! Yes, it was in Nice that this mythical festival was born in 1948. Armstrong, Reinhardt, Grappelli… The biggest names in jazz launched this festival so dear to the hearts of the people of Nice. Since 2014, the festival takes place in the setting of the Promenade du Paillon, in the heart of the city. Jazz but not only… The festival shows its will to shake up traditions by opening up to diversified musical concerts. Come and vibrate to the sound of the great national and international names but also to the discoveries of today on the Masséna and Théâtre de Verdure stages.
The +: The Jam Sessions at the Radisson Blu Hotel to perpetuate the tradition of the Jazz evenings of yesteryear. To live to the rhythm of the festival, go to the Jazz Off at the castle from 6 to 17 July.

3 – Les Nuits du Sud
When? 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23 July 2022
To see who? Bob Sinclar, Camila Jordana, Lilly Wood & the Prick, Emir Kusturika & The No Smocking Orchestra…
This year, the world music festival celebrates its 25th anniversary and for this date, it takes a new artistic direction while remaining faithful to its original values! We love its eclectic and joyful programme where the new scene rubs shoulders with international artists. Beautiful evenings in prospect to be experienced on the Place du Grand Jardin, in the heart of the historic city of Vence.

4 – Les Nuits Guitares
When? 20, 21, 22 July 2022
Who to see? Christophe Maé, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Selah Sue, Seb Machabo, Carlos Lopes
Olive trees, a lawn and guinguette-style garlands, here we are at the Nuits Guitares festival in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. For its 21st edition, the Berlugan festival returns with a programme that will delight all audiences. The Jardin de l’Olivaie is the ideal setting for this family-friendly event, which is a must for our summer evenings.
The +: we like the family aspect of the place which allows us to be close to the artists.
5 – Festival du Peu

When? During 5 weekends from 10 June to 10 July 2022
To see what? “a little further” in our imaginations! We let you discover…
Festival du Peu… Kézaco ?? It is a festival of contemporary art, culture and social links that brings together artists from all walks of life. Historically organised in the village of Bonson, this year the Festival du Peu will take over the village of Le Broc for its 19th edition.

In the authentic setting of the Théâtre de Verdure, installed on the steps, close to the artists, we love this festival in the hinterland, small in size but which has nothing to envy the biggest…
7 – Le Saint Jazz Cap Ferrat
When? 11, 12, 13 August 2022
Who to see? Stéphane .., Anne Pacéo, Erik Truffaz…
We love the intimate setting of the Jardin de la Paix, under the pine trees facing the sea. In addition to its exceptional site, this small jazz festival has become one of the big names on the Côte d’Azur scene. Numerous international artists have performed on the festival’s stage where good humour and conviviality reign.
8 – Les Plages du Rire
When? 1, 3, 4 and 5 August 2022
To see who? Laurent Barat, Fabrice Eboué, Booder, Anthony Kavanagh…
The 11th edition of the aptly named Festival des Plages du Rire is all about good humour and laughter. Comedy artists are gathered at the Théâtre de Verdure, on the Promenade des Anglais, for unique shows and “one man shows”! An unmissable event of our summer…
The +: The Plages du Rire give young local and national comedians the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a jury of professionals during the Tremplins des Plages du Rire which take place in May. The winner has the chance to perform as the opening act for the Festival! More info here.
9 – Nice Music Live
When? all summer
To see what? Electro, rock, artists who have marked the 2000’s…
Within the framework of Nice Music Live, many events await you throughout the summer at the Théâtre de Verdure, on the Promenade du Paillon. With new events such as La Kermesse or the Neon Festival which promise wild evenings… music to be experienced and shared to spend a beautiful summer!
10 – Crossover Festival
When? 8, 9, 10, 11 September 2022
To see who? IAm, Laeti, Suzane…
The summer evenings are extended and the atmosphere continues with 4 evenings in one place: the Théâtre de Verdure. Not far from the mythical Promenade des Anglais and its beaches, the Crossover Nice Festival offers a program between urban and electro.
The +: On July 28th, the Crossover Summer Festival will take place at the Théâtre sur la Mer in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with a djset evening. More info
11 – Summer evenings
Where? in the whole Alpes-Maritimes department
When? All summer long
To see who? what? street art, concerts, shows, cabaret…
Ideal for discovering the local scene and artists of all kinds, the summer evenings are an essential part of a festive summer. Jazz, pop, rock, variety, world, classical or traditional music… More than 450 events to be discovered throughout the department and in many towns in the metropolitan area!

12 – Jazz au château
When? Every Friday at 9pm, from 24 June to 9 September 2022
What to see? Jazz concerts, gypsy jazz, swing, soul…
Come and listen to jazz in the enchanting setting of the Château du Haut-de-Cagnes… This 15th edition will once again present virtuosos and various groups. Free evenings!
