A virtuoso piece of choreography on the frontiers of hip hop and contemporary dance.
After welcoming them to Season 23/24 with "Les Autres", Anton Lachky returns to the FJP with "Absurde", inviting his dancers to explore the tumultuous, fiery paths of surrealism. Converted to the infinity of the possible, bodies intertwine, multiply and split. Characters emerge, struck with an irresistible spirit. Stories collide, indefinable, impossible to reduce to an intelligible, resolute whole. The dance, escaping from the fold of the moment, is an outpouring of strength and feats of all kinds. This furious, exalted energy gives rise to choreographic moments of prodigious intensity, which are both haunting and fascinating.
