Nice Greeters

Greeters, a new way to visit Nice Côte d’Azur

How about discovering Nice Côte d’Azur with a destination lover?

It’s original and you’ll love it! Call on the services of a “Greeter” and explore the four corners of the territory with a “friend”. Believe it or not, that’s how you’ll consider him or her after having lived this experience with you. And take notes because you will learn a lot! You will hear a lot of new and unusual anecdotes that will mark your holiday for ever.

☀️ But first of all, what is a “Greeter”?

A greeter is a local who is passionate about his or her town or region and who uses his or her free time to show travellers around the area on a voluntary basis.

Unlike a traditional guided tour, your travelling companion will take you on a tour that he or she has designed around a chosen theme and will share with you his or her favourite places and favourites. Each tour is unique, depending on the inspiration of your “new friend” and your common interests.

What would you like to discover in Nice Côte d’Azur? Neighbourhood life and good tips? Gastronomy and local products? The four corners of the city on a blue bike? Or traditions, anecdotes and secret stories? Choose the theme of your “tailor-made” tour. Your Greeter will accompany you as if he were showing his city to a friend.

Marylène, Jean Claude, Danièle, Frédéric, Laurie, Alexandre and the others are waiting for you and have a lot to share with you! So make the most of this human experience and create wonderful memories.

How to discover Nice Côte d’Azur with a Greeter?

If you want to try it, it’s very simple. First of all, go to the special website of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan CVB (see below). Fill in the registration form at least 7 days before your arrival date. After having indicated your dates, the language spoken and your interests, you are then put in direct contact with the Greeter who corresponds to you the most. The appointment is then made, all you have to do is let yourself be guided and enjoy this moment off the beaten track. Visits last on average 2 hours.

In order to ensure a maximum of personalization and exchange, the tour cannot exceed 6 people. Each group must include at least one adult. With family or friends, it’s time to explore the Nice Côte d’Azur in a friendly atmosphere.

Finally, during your excursions, be eco-responsible! Make all your trips on foot, by blue bike or by public transport. A new way of travelling which is part of the sustainable tourism dynamic launched by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan CVB.
