Getting around by bike

Getting around by bike in the Nice Côte d’Azur is a vacation off the beaten track, an experience to be lived alone, with family or friends, while contributing to sustainable tourism.

From 20 February 2024, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Area will propose 2 new self-service bicycle hire operators (replacing the Vélo Bleu scheme): Lime and Pony.

Extended coverage

The new operators will extend service coverage to 12 towns: Nice, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Drap, La Trinité, Saint-André-de-la-Roche, Vence, Saint-Jeannet, Carros and La Gaude.

Access to the service via dedicated applications

Hiring a bike couldn’t be easier! Simply download the mobile application from the operator of your choice (Lime or Pony) and follow the instructions. You’ll then be able to locate the bike nearest you and unlock it by scanning the QR code.
