Reached along a surprising mountain road, Duranus is built directly on limestone formations overlooking the Vésubie Valley, with houses scattered on the slopes in the heart of pristine nature with oak and olive trees.
It is also surrounded by small valleys harbouring exceptional biological reserves, cascades and aqueducts.
Sights: ruins of the site of Roccasparvièra (original village, 12th c); Sainte-Eurosie and Saint-Michel chapels; Le Saut des Français (belvedere); old arsenic mine; Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité church (19th c).
