Handiplage – Ville de Nice

During the summer, the city of Nice provides two handiplages (Centenaire and Carras) free of charge, enabling anyone in need of assistance to enjoy the pleasures of the sea and swim in complete safety.

Anyone with special needs can be accommodated:

people with disabilities
the elderly, who may have difficulty getting around or with balance problems.
The service offers safe swimming assistance thanks to
a qualified team: handiplagists holding the Brevet National de Sauvetage Aquatique.
adapted equipment: amphibious chairs, fries, life jackets, etc.
Both beaches have been awarded the Handiplage "3 buoys" label.
