10th anniversary of the ‘Cuisine Nissarde’ label
In March 2025, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau kicked off a year of festivities in honour of the 10th anniversary of the Cuisine Nissarde label. A symbolic anniversary celebrating a decade of commitment to the preservation, transmission and promotion of Nice’s gastronomy.
An inaugural dinner on 20 March at the Lycée hôtelier Jeanne et Paul AUGIER marked the launch of a rich programme throughout 2025, with events open to the general public to (re)discover the specialities of Nice and the history that goes with them.
Programme of events
- 12 April: Conference on the history of Nice cuisine by Alex BENVENUTO (Bibliothèque Raoul Mille)
- April to September: “Du panier à la table” guided tours (in French only) with tasting on the Ponchettes terraces
- April to October: Highlighting of an emblematic dish each month by certified restaurants and the Atelier de Cuisine Niçoise (Niçoise Cuisine Workshop)
- May: Publication of a special edition of the label’s recipes and events around Niçoise cuisine
- 4 May: Participation in the Fête des Mai, with a pan bagnat stand
- 16 to 20 June: Semaine menu Cuisine Niçoise in Nice schools
- 27 September: Participation in the urban agriculture festival
- 10 October: Conference on ‘Paintings and writers… a culinary love affair’ at the Romain Gary Library
- 14 October: Conference on ‘The benefits and flavours of Niçoise cuisine’ by Alex BENVENUTO and Marjorie DESSAUVAGES
The Cuisine Nissarde label, proudly borne by OTM NCA since 2014, continues to unite restaurateurs, institutions and enthusiasts around a common goal: preserving the soul of local cuisine and passing it on to future generations.
