Visit Cagnes-sur-Mer with the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau
Ideally situated between Nice and Cannes, the town owes its charm to the medieval village of Haut-de-Cagnes, whose Grimaldi castle-museum dominates the town. Numerous personalities and artists, including Renoir, have stayed or lived in Cagnes-sur-Mer.
Cagnes-sur-Mer has also become a true shopping destination, thanks to Shopping Promenade Riviera, France’s 1st open-air shopping center. Not to mention a rich program of events all year round and its famous Hippodrome de la Côte d’Azur.

The unique feature of this Cagnes-sur-Mer festival, which has been running since 2004, is that it offers free jazz concerts during the summer season from mid-June to mid-September, lasting up to 1.5 hours, which is unique in the department.

Sophia TAHI, Nina SIMONE, or the story of two lionesses speaking out for the same cause. Sophia Tahi makes a true declaration of love for the great Nina Simone here. For the virtuoso’s entire musical legacy, the depth and emotional intensity of the Diva, and for her human commitment. Reflecting the unclassifiable, multifaceted artist, soul, world music, jazz, and Afrobeat are all on the program for this singing tour. The Franco-Moroccan singer, born in Brittany, weaves a thread to her own African identity by completely reappropriating some of Miss Simone’s greatest songs.
Guillaume Casini (piano), Jean-Baptiste André (bass), and Mickael Jamier (drums) create a veritable groove around Sophia. Their mastery and solid knowledge of jazz and so-called “inspired” music allow the singer’s sensitivity to fully express itself in a register where she excels.
