Ilonse Explore Ilonse with the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau
Ilonse is a medieval village perched 1250 m above the sea, overlooking the Tinée valley. Built in tiers, with a splendid covered wash-house with columns, superb stone facades, a Baroque chapel painted in bright yellow, a medieval arcaded covered passageway and a small square with a panoramic terrace. At the highest point of the village, an orientation table identifies all the main peaks in the Alpes-Maritimes department.

The traditional Festin dei Chats will be held in Ilonse on 1, 2, 3 and 4 August 2024.
On the programme: belote competition, lively ball, aperitif, square boules competition, children’s games…

- St Michel church (13th century), inside : the choir (15th century), listed paintings ;
- St Grat chapel (17th century) ;
- Saint Pons, Saint Maur and St Antoine chapels.
