The Volti Museum-Foundation was created during the lifetime of the artist Voltigerno Antoniucci, known as Volti, who donated some of his works (sculpture and drawings) to the city of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
Nestled in the depths of the citadel's casemates, a whole people of bronze, copper and terracotta women display their voluptuous curves in a setting of rough stone. The Volti Donation's exceptional presentation makes it a unique artistic ensemble.
