Every Wednesday, Pierre Brochant and his friends organize a "dinner for idiots." The principle is simple: each participant brings an "idiot," and the one whose guest stands out the most is declared the winner.
Tonight, Pierre is delighted; he thinks he's found the perfect match: François Pignon, an accountant at the Ministry of Finance, passionate about building miniature models out of matchsticks.
But what he doesn't know is that Pignon, always ready to help, is a walking disaster, a master at triggering catastrophes... The meeting of two destinies that should never have crossed paths...
