Snow and winter sports

When sunshine rhymes with snow…
Nice Côte d’Azur and its 7 resorts offer the best to snow and winter sports lovers!

Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Area offers you the great outdoors and opens the doors to a preserved natural environment that is usually covered in snow from December to April!

Isola 2000

Did you know? Isola 2000 is one of the Top 5 resorts for snow in France!

Thanks to its altitude and exceptional snow cover, Isola 2000 is the “BIG SKI” destination of the Southern Alps. Every year, Isola 2000 is the setting for regional, national and international ski and snowboard competitions! The ski area extends over 45 slopes with 20 high-performance lifts. Ski school and independent instructors on site.

Activities to be found at the resort: downhill or speed skiing, cross-country or touring skiing, handiskiing, ice-driving, snowmobiling, sledding, snowboarding, snowshoeing…

At an altitude of 1600 m, the resort of Auron offers all the pleasures of skiing and the mountains. It is the largest ski area in the department.

It is an ideal snow and winter activities destination, only 1hr30 from Nice Côte d’Azur international airport. 43 slopes for all levels spread over 135 kilometres of runs and 800 metres of vertical drop, 19 high-performance ski lifts, 130 instructors, a high-performance system for making artificial snow to guarantee optimal snow cover if necessary…

Among the many activities on offer: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, handiskiing, night skiing, sledging, ice skating, tubing, escape game, snowshoeing, boot camp, treasure hunt, ice climbing, yoga, snowmobiling, heated swimming pool…

Good to know

The resort is directly linked to the town of Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée by the Pinatelle cable car.

Located at an altitude of 1500 metres, Saint-Dalmas le Selvage is the highest village in the Alpes-Maritimes.

A resort dedicated to Nordic skiing, Saint-Dalmas-Le-Selvage offers the opportunity to ski on 50 kilometres of marked trails covered in snow.

Authentic and calm, this Mercantour nugget offers visitors the possibility of practising numerous snow activities. It also offers cross-country and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging and climbing natural icefalls.

La Colmiane

From 1,500 to 1,800 metres above sea level, the resort of La Colmiane has plenty to offer snow lovers!

Skiing, snow school, snowboarding, snowshoeing, a toboggan run and a giant 2,663-metre-long zip line with a speed of more than 120 km/hour…. enough to offer a unique experience of the mountains!

Between 1410 metres and 1920 metres, the small family resort of Roubion-Les-Buisses is only 70 kilometres from Nice or just one hour’s drive.

6 ski lifts, including a 4-seater chairlift, give access to 30 kilometres of downhill ski runs.

Boréon Nordic Centre

Between 1500 and 1800 metres above sea level and close to the village of Saint-Martin-Vésubie, Le Boréon is one of the most important Nordic ski centres in the French Alps.

You can also discover the grandiose landscapes of the Mercantour Massif on skis or snowshoes. 4 trails over 24 kilometres and 30 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails.

Turini Silver Camp

One hour from the coast, the ski resort of Turini Silver Camp is the closest to the French Riviera.

If Turini Camp d’Argent does not compete with the big neighbouring resorts of Isola, Auron, or even Roubion, it is first and foremost a family resort. It has a skiable area of 3 kilometres, divided into 4 slopes with 3 ski lifts.
